Families need information they can understand and questions they can take to their treating team. Our website provides general education and practical support. It cannot diagnose cancer or choose treatment for an individual.

Sources and dates mean different things

• Source checked: an editor checked the linked reference and the statements it supports. This is not a medical review.
• Medically reviewed: this label is used only when a qualified clinician has actually reviewed that version. A reviewer’s name, relevant qualification and review date must accompany the label.
• Updated: the page was edited. An update date alone does not establish that every clinical statement was reviewed.

Current review status: our new UP and Bihar preparation guides include source-check dates and references. They do not claim a clinician review. Older pages may have different dates or incomplete references; do not assume a medical review unless it is explicitly documented.

How we prepare and correct information

1. Define the patient question and provide a useful next step in plain language.
2. Check clinical statements against identifiable sources such as the National Cancer Institute, NHS and other recognized health authorities. Link the specific reference rather than a search results page.
3. Separate established guidance from uncertainty. Avoid promises of cures, guaranteed outcomes, guaranteed funding or statements that a treatment is safe for everyone.
4. Record source-check status. Identify an actual clinician only after their review; do not use a general advisory affiliation as a review credit.
5. Check practical details such as hospital locations, contact numbers, appointment arrangements and costs. Fees and assistance depend on the provider and eligibility; confirm before travelling.
6. Correct verified errors and recheck affected references. Major clinical changes need a suitably qualified reviewer before being labelled medically reviewed.
