Caregivers are the quiet heroes of cancer care. This checklist helps you stay organised and also look after yourself.

Medical coordination
- ☐ One folder (paper + phone) with all reports
- ☐ List of questions before every visit
- ☐ Emergency numbers: hospital, oncologist, ambulance
- ☐ Know warning signs: fever above 100.4°F, bleeding, breathlessness — call the doctor at once
Emotional support
- ☐ Listen more than you advise
- ☐ Let your loved one make choices where possible
- ☐ Invite trusted friends to share tasks
Money and paperwork
- ☐ Check insurance and government schemes (see our guide)
- ☐ Keep bills and receipts for claims and tax
Care for yourself
